Turkey hunting has come to an end. With the start of the season one week earlier, a lot of good birds were harvested. Tim Frances had a pair of 20 pounders. Mark Hiller had a 24.5 pound bird and Bob Shepherd had a 21 pound Tom. The birds seemed to stay active long into the season to make it a very exciting calling year.
Now is the time to get your bow ready for the deer season. Yes, I said deer season. Only 14 weeks left before we start. Start shooting you bow and building those muscles. Nothing worse then having a deer in front of you when it is cold and you can't draw your bow back. Check your string and cables for wear. Check all the screws to ensure they are tight. Check your stands to be sure they are safe and that all tiedown straps are in good shape. Then get out and start scouting. It's never to early. Make sure you have a good tick spray on if you go to the woods and check for ticks when you come out. Lyme disease is no joke and can be prevented.
The hunting guides are available here at the store. Any changes to the laws or regs will be updated on this page as they become available. Send any hunting pictures to me so we can post them onto our new photo page. Tuna84@aol.com
